A pocket-sized little map to encourage during times of stress or anxiety. Folded into a 3"x4" envelope, this small guide is filled with quotes, Bible verses and thoughts (and images of some of my artwork of course) on re-gaining hope and peace during those times when life can seem so rough and full of insurmountable obstacles. Follow a path of beauty . . . a trail of loveliness . . . to a place where truth and kindness still exist, and there is hope for tomorrow.
A landscape painter with a passion for simple beauty found in the everyday, Mary Pat Ettinger works in a contemporary style with acrylic on canvas. Light and shadow are implicit to her work in addition to a strong sense of design and shape. Combining spontaneous flows of colour as well as tightly controlled edges, her work expresses both warm strength and a serene sense of the goodness and hope in life.
Influenced deeply by the rural area she lives in, Mary Pat’s works often reflect the organic nature of man-made structures being embraced by the landscape. Mary Pat studied at Laguna Beach School of Art and Chapman College and her award winning works are represented by the AGO Gallery in Ouray, CO, Main Street Gallery in Grand Junction, CO, Blue Pig Gallery in Palisade CO, Yampa Valley Fiberworks, Craig, CO, Tread of Pioneers Museum, Steamboat Springs, CO, Arts at Denver Gallery and the Center for Visual Arts in Steamboat Springs. She has illustrated several books, and published one of her own. She lives with her husband in Western Colorado.
